ORDERS
Should be made, whenever possible, in writing through a request addressed to our company duly stamped and signed, or sent personally to our employees and containing at least the following information:
a) - complete description of the goods
b) - quantities
c) - place of delivery
PRICES
The prices applicable are those in effect on the date of shipment of the goods unless other conditions are EXPRESSLY agreed upon.
PROOF OF DELIVERY OF GOODS
The acceptance of the invoice and the non-return within 48 hours, presupposes that the goods have been delivered and received by the customer.
PAYMENT
Our general payment terms are as follows, unless other terms are EXPRESSLY agreed upon:
1) - cash payment w/ 2% discount;
2) - payment within 30 days of invoice date with 1% discount;
3) - payment within 60 days of invoice date with no discount or charge;
4) - money put in our office at no charge to us;
5) - on payment of any invoice by draft or bill of exchange accepted, the charges will be for the customer's account.
Invoices are due 60 days from the date of issue.
The due date of the invoice is therefore the period allowed for payment without charge. From that date on, charges due for extension of time will begin to run.
These charges debited to the current account will be due immediately. In relation to their calculation, no reference will be made to a credit institution's particular expense note.
TRANSPORT
Buyers when picking up the goods from our warehouses and transporting them at their own expense to the destination, or when the delivery is made through us, will not bear any additional charges. In the event that the goods are shipped, postage will be charged to the customer.
CLAIMS
Complaints will only be answered when made within 8 days.
RETURNS
Merchandise returns are not allowed, being the sale by perfect with the express acceptance of the order or with the emission of the respective invoice.
FORUM
The competent jurisdiction for any action arising from this contract is the district of Coimbra
Dispute Resolution
According to the law nº 144/2015, of 8 September, we informe that in case of a conflite the consumer can appeal to a Alternative Dispute Resolution Body

The story of Madeira&Madeira, SA dates back to 1971 with the establishment of the company ?Carlos Garcia de Matos, Lda? in which Mr. Manuel Madeira owned a minority stake of 13,3%. In 1984, Mr. Manuel Madeira acquierd the shares of the oher shareholders, the facility moved to Pedrulha,Coimbra, and chaned its name to ?Madeira&Madeira, Inc?. From that moment forward the company became 100% familiar. The company showed a rapid growth,betting on the importation and on the wholesale distribution of machines and tools, it went from na equity capital of 23,600e euros in 1984 to a current equity capital of 2,100,000 euros. Moreover, in 197 the company became a public limited company and in 1998 the entire business moved to another location called Sargento Mor, Portugal.
